The SEE-GL Project, standing for Skills and Employment Enhancement in Green Logistics, is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at transforming vocational education and training (VET) in the transport logistics sector across the Western Balkans. An Erasmus+ Capacity Building project, SEE-GL spans 24 months, starting on 1. January 2025. and concluding on 31. December 2026. This project fosters international cooperation and educational innovation to meet the growing demand for sustainable logistics practices in the region.
SEE-GL is designed to establish a comprehensive educational program that integrates Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into transport logistics training. It brings together five organizations from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, and Montenegro to develop a vocational curriculum that addresses local socio-economic and environmental challenges while aligning with European standards.
By equipping VET providers and logistics professionals with the necessary skills, SEE-GL aims to promote green logistics practices, increase employability in the transport sector, and prepare the workforce for the future of sustainable logistics. This initiative is vital for improving both environmental sustainability and socio-economic development in the region.
O1: To supply VET providers in the transport logistics field with updated teaching and training materials and methodologies that are in line with the EQF and incorporate current industry standards and practices, with a special focus on ESG principles.
O2: To organize workshops and trainings for VET educators to enhance their teaching skills, update their knowledge, and promote the exchange of good practices on ESG in transport logistics among the participating Western Balkan countries.
O3: To develop and pilot a comprehensive VET curriculum dedicated to the new occupation of ESG Specialists in Transport Logistics, aligning with modern labor market requirements and incorporating the latest ESG principles in transport logistics.
O4: To establish a comprehensive digital learning platform and create supportive materials that enable effective online VET education in ESG principles for transport logistics, designed to complement and extend the educational services of the Regional ESG Educational Hubs, ensuring accessibility for learners regardless of location.
